Do you work only with corporations or also with individuals?
We work just as much with companies as with individuals.
Who makes the translations?
Each project is assigned to a Project Manager who will analyze it and will appoint the team of translators who will be in charge of it. This PM will be the one who later will be in charge of the proofreading before it is returned to the client.
What does the proofreading service consist of?
This service consists of the revising of the completed project by the assigned Project Manager, with the objective of finding and correcting possible mistakes or misinterpretations in the translated texts.
Is automatic translation software used?
No. Even though this software has come into very common use lately, because it saves time and allows for great cost savings, it only guarantees 75% accuracy (which means one poorly-translated word in every four). The software only helps us to standardize processes and reduce certain times. Our principal objective is to provide services that result in translations that are free from error. That is the necessity of our clients and it is our goal. Therefore, our translations are eminently human.
Is it possible to keep the original format of the documents?
We guarantee the original layout of all the documents that come to us to be translated, except when our clients indicate the contrary. Our goal is to adapt ourselves to your needs, thus, if possible, we will work on the document to keep its original layout and style.

Rates
How much does a translation cost?
Even though each project has its particular characteristics, our vision is to maintain the same competitive price, independent of the aforementioned characteristics (length, format, difficulty, etc). For specific queries, do not hesitate to check the Pricing section or write to us.
Are there any discounted rates with regular customers?
Yes. There are two types of discounts:
1) A 10% discount for first-time clients. Starting with the second project, the prices will be back to normal, at least until a client becomes one of our habitual customers.
2) There are different ranges of discounts on quotations for regular customers and/or corporations that entrust us a large amount of services at a certain time period. If you belong to a company or become a regular individual client that needs a large amount of translations per month, do not hesitate to contact us and ask for our special rates on specific contracts in accordance with your requirements.
Do I have to pay for an estimate?
No. Our estimates are free of charge. You may send us your document or the number of words it has, by e-mail or by phone, and we will respond quickly with the estimated budget.

Pre-established delivery time
When will the Finished Project be delivered?
The time in which the project will be returned depends on its length and its content. If you need an exact date, we will see that your work is completed by the established time by devoting more members of our staff to it.

Payment
How can I pay?
Currently we accept payments via credit cards or bank transfers through PayPal.
When do I have to pay for the Finished Project?
If you are a new customer, we may request an advance payment of 50% of the total cost. The balance will be paid within 14 days after you receive the finished translated work, during which period you can check it.
If you are a regular customer, you will pay the total amount within the 14 days after receiving the finished project, during which period you can check it.
If you are a regular customer or a company and you possess an agreement with us, the payment will be made according to the terms and conditions of the agreement.

What guarantees do you offer when it comes to meeting delivery deadlines?
We respect the deadlines established both by us and by our customers’ requirements. This is an important condition that guarantees the high quality of our services. We work with a strict policy with regards to the terms and conditions for each project entrusted to us.
What guarantees do you offer concerning quality of services?
We work only with professionals who enrolled in and specialized in translation at their respective colleges, which brings a certain guarantee of quality. In addition, our most powerful guarantee is that the payment, except for first-time clients, is always deferred, which means that you pay only after you see and analyze the finished work.
What guarantees do you offer concerning the confidentiality of the projects you receive?
The nature of work as well as any information provided by the customer to Lexycos will be confidential. Lexycos, absent the client’s prior consent, will not divulge any information to anyone aside from authorized employees or subcontractors of Lexycos whose work requires such information. Is it possible to have more than one pending project for the same client?
Yes, it is always possible if you already are a regular customer. If you are a first-time client, we consider it necessary to finish the first work so that you may evaluate it for response time, fulfillment with established deadlines, presentation, quality, cost, and other aspects.

How do I count the words in a document?
This is one of the cases in which we are helped by the aforementioned software, with the intent to save time and money for our clients. Please, do not hesitate to attach your document and we will do this job for you.
